What is the best time to visit the Cayman Islands?

  • Anytime is a good time to visit the Cayman Islands. Our dry season is from December to April and rainy season spans May to November. During rainy season rain showers are sporadic with pockets of bright sunshine.

Do U.S. citizens need a passport?

  • Yes, US citizens need a passport to enter the Cayman Islands, but they do not require a visa.

What is the currency?

  • The currency is the CI dollar, but US dollars are accepted widely.

What language is spoken?

  • English is official language of the Cayman Islands, but with the islands home to more than 130 nationalities you will hear many different languages.

Is tipping expected?

  • Most hotels and restaurants include gratuities between 15 and 20%.

What should attendees pack?

  • Attendees should pack light breathable clothing, comfortable walking shoes, swimwear and sun protection.

How far in advance should I book?

  • The Cayman Islands is a popular destination for meetings, incentive trips and events so we recommend booking 12-18 months in advance at a minimum.

What is the typical lead time for proposals?

  • The typical lead time for proposals is six (6) months.

Can you accommodate special dietary requirements?

  • Cayman Islands hotels and restaurants are able to accommodate all special dietary requirements and can offer a range of menu options including vegan, gluten-free and kosher items.

Are group discounts available?

  • Group discounts on flights are available on flights via Cayman Airways, the National Flag carrier of the Cayman Islands.

What happens if I need to cancel?

  • Every property has their own policies around cancellation. We encourage you to check with the property directly.

Can I do a site inspection?

  • Yes, site inspections are encouraged and can be arranged via your chosen property

Are there seasonal rate differences?

  • Rates are dependent on the time of year you book and are higher in peak season between December and April

How do I arrange group transportation?

  • Group transportation can be arranged via DMC or directly with transportation providers

Is airport signage available for groups?

  • Airport signage is available for groups through your transportation provider

Can you coordinate spouse programs?

  • Your DMC will be able to coordinate spouse programmes

What AV equipment is standard?

  • Standard AV equipment includes mic stands and video capabilities. Reach out to your chosen property for more information.

Are there union requirements?

  • There are no union production requirements in the Cayman Islands

What are electricity specifications?

  • The Cayman Islands uses a standard electricity supply of 120 volts at a frequency of 60Hz. Outlets are compatible with Type A and Type B. This is the same as North America so devices from Canada or the US will work without the need for an adapter.

Is Wi-Fi reliable in the Cayman Islands at properties?
